Grays Harbor Public Utility District is accepting applications for a full-time Information Systems Specialist to manage Local Area Network (LAN), software, hardware and virtual infrastructure; provide system applications and user support; administer and manage personal computers including software and applications installation, configuration, deployment and maintenance. 

 

Qualifications include:  Recognized course(s) in PC technology, including hardware and software installation and maintenance; plus three (3) years progressive experience installing, maintaining and debugging PCs, network hardware, peripheral equipment and software; or equivalent education and experience which a significant portion must be within the last three (3) years.  Successful applicant will be required to successfully complete and pass an aptitude test.

Temporary engineering intern positions are available during the 2019 summer months to provide assistance in the engineering department at Grays Harbor PUD.  A limited number of positions will be available.  

 

Position: Temporary Engineering Intern

Status:  Temporary, full-time, non-exempt, non-represented positions

               (Not to exceed four (4) months in calendar year)

Closing Date:  February 28, 2019

 

Requirements:

To qualify, students must be 18 years of age, be enrolled in an accredited engineering program or pre-engineering program at a recognized college or university.  Preference is given to those enrolled in the Electrical Engineering (power emphasis) program.

 

Student employees are not eligible for fringe benefits; nor do they accrue seniority.  Student employees will accrue Paid Sick Leave beginning at the start of employment in accordance with the District’s Paid and Other Leave policy.  By nature of the definition of an eligible position, membership in the Washington State Retirement System will not apply to student employees.

Position: Temporary Student Office and Operations Helpers

Status:  Temporary, full-time, non-exempt, represented positions

               (Not to exceed four (4) months in calendar year)

Closing Date:  March 29, 2019

 

Requirements:

To qualify, students must be 18 years of age, be enrolled in a full-time academic, technical or vocational undergraduate program and be attending the program the academic year immediately following summer employment.  Preference will be given to students who have completed at least one (1) year of college/vocational education.

Students are hired to fill positions covered by collective bargaining agreements with I.B.E.W. Local No. 77.  Upon completing enrollment forms, monthly union dues will be deducted and forwarded to the union.

POWER AND ENERGY SERVICES ANALYST

Grays Harbor Public Utility District is accepting applications for a full-time Power and Energy Services Analyst to provide technical assistance to the District’s power supply and energy services resources; provide backup to the Power and Energy Services Director; communicate with industrial/commercial customers about projected load needs; conduct analysis, tracking and reporting related to power supply and conservation measures for Energy Services Department.   

Qualifications include:  Knowledge of energy management practices and programs and the ability to communicate effectively. Possess an associate degree in business admin, economics, engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.  A minimum of three years progressively responsible work experience in power supply, economic analysis, energy services programs, or other related work experience is preferred. 

 

Position:  Power and Energy Services Analyst

Status: Full-time, Exempt

Work Week: Monday - Friday

Supervisor: Power and Energy Services Director

Monthly Salary Range: $5,475 - $8,710
